State Of The Map 2010

Tagzania Services is a geolocation focused company with several projects based on maps. The most known is Tagzania.com a pioneer mash-up where you can share your favourite places and create your own maps using different cartography (G. Maps, OSM, Bing, etc.). Tagzania Services has also some projects with OSM: Mapapel, printable quality city maps, or EuskalMapa, a map of the world in Basque language, both based on OpenStreetMap data. Tagzania also sponsored last year’s SotM.

The OpenStreetMap Foundation is excited to announce that, like last year, the full travel and accomodations costs for 15 mappers to attend State of the Map 2010,  will be provided.

We are looking for people from places where costs would prohibit attendance, especially developing countries and places that are “interesting” geopolitically. The scholarships will provide an opportunity for these leaders of nascent OSM communities to network, learn, and find the inspirations and support to take OSM to the next level.

The 4th Annual OpenStreetMap Conference – State Of The Map – will be held in Girona, Spain on July 9th, 10th and 11th. The local organising team is very excited to host this wonderful event. If the three previous editions are anything to go by, State Of The Map 2010 is one geo-event you just don’t want to miss!
